Kathryn York, cellist, has earned degrees from East Carolina University in NC (BM Music Education and Cello Performance) where she studied with Emanuel Gruber, and The University of Tennessee (MM Cello Performance) where she studied with Dr. Wesley Baldwin. In addition, she has completed Suzuki training in Cello Books 1-4 with Dr. Melissa Kraut. Currently, Ms. York is an active performer and teacher in Eastern Tennessee. She has served in the cello sections of the Oak Ridge Symphony, and Symphony of the Mountains. In addition to teaching privately in Knoxville and Oak Ridge, Ms. York was an adjunct Faculty member at Lincoln Memorial University for the Spring 2017 semester.
