Cyndi Jeffers began playing oboe at the age of 10. She studied briefly with Robert Sprenkle of Eastman School of Music and  attended SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music as a student of Raymond Shiner, majoring in Music Education. She has taught private lessons in flute, clarinet, and oboe. Cyndi was a member of the Finger Lakes Community Orchestra and the Eisenhower Chamber Ensemble in upstate New York. She is currently a member of the Oak Ridge Philharmonia, Oak Ridge Community Band, and Secret City Winds, where she plays oboe and English horn. She also serves on the boards of the Oak Ridge Philharmonia and The Rotary Club of Oak Ridge. 

Cyndi takes a holistic approach to teaching, focusing on each of the many individual elements that contribute to playing oboe and English horn well.
